Today's Lesson
Spelling
Take the spelling test by asking your student to write the words they have been learning this week.
Main Activity
Today, your student should read and check through their first draft, and look for any errors and corrections they need to make. They should do this directly onto the first draft with a different coloured pen.
Ask them to look for at least three sentences to rewrite and improve. They should be looking for:
- Spelling errors
- Punctuation errors (capital letters and full stops)
- Synonyms (words that are similar but more interesting.
Finally, write up their final draft on lined paper, also focusing on handwriting, spelling and presentation. It should be their very best effort so it can be submitted with their Assignment 7.
Assignment
Complete and submit Assignment 7.
Please submit their edited first draft, story plan, improved sentences, and their final draft.
Please also make sure that the Grammar and Reading tasks are submitted at the same time, as part of their assignment.
