Main Activity

Ask your student if they can remember what adverbs are (describe a verb). Can they give you any examples?

Watch the following video to refresh your student’s memory of adverbs.

**Then turn to page 16 in Nelson Grammar Pupil Book 3 - Unit 6 Adverbs.**Work through the information in the purple box at the top of the page.

Clarify that your student understands that adverbs tell us more abouthow, when or where something is done.

Ask your student to complete ‘Focus’, ‘Practice’ and ‘Extension’ on pages 16 and 17.
