Today's Lesson
Spelling
Review spelling words to prepare for your test at the end of the week.
Introduction
In today’s lesson, we will focus on another thing that will help make your writing stronger, and that is prepositions. Prepositions tell us the position of one thing in relation to another.
Main Activity
Take something you have on your table such as a pencil or pen and place it under a chair. Ask your student to tell you where the pen is. He or she should say - under the chair. Explain that under is a preposition which tells you where the pen is. Do this a few times, placing the object in various places and asking your student to tell you where it is and then ask them to identify the preposition.
