Spelling
Use Spelling Frame and choose Segment Cards to look at this week's words, or Spelling Tiles to practise this week's words. You can remove the words you are not learning, by clicking on them, then Show Me. You may wish to play some of the games, or explore the Printables at the bottom of the Spelling Frame page.
Main Activity
Today, we will get used to some of the devices and skills that Dahl used in Chapter 10, so we can get to know the story even better. Explain that it is always important to try to get to know the language and tools that the author uses, so we can delve deeper into the story.
Access the resource, and discuss the task with your student, supporting him or her to respond to the questions. Initially, use them as a basis for discussion with you. Then, answer the questions in writing.
