Main Activity
Access 'Pollination', PinpointComprehension Unit 17. This is a non fiction text (because it is not a story): it is similar in layout to the previous comprehension text they read about ‘Water’. Ask your student to spot similarities and differences with this text.
Prepare the text with your student, and discuss what we have found out about pollination that we didn’t already know.
Ask: Do you think it teaches us well about the topic of pollination? Why? What other
questions about the topic might we want to ask?
Ask your student to answer the questions on the ‘S’ sheet and ‘D’ sheet. Review and reflect on their answers once finished.
