Today's Lesson
Spelling
Take the spelling test by asking your student to write the words they have been learning this week.
Main Activity
Read through your rough draft of your informal letter from yesterday’s lesson.
Encourage your student to use the Assignment 9 marking criteria to guide them with how they can improve on their first attempt. Ask your student to read through the letter and edit at leastTHREE sentences looking for spelling, capital letters & full stops, and synonyms (words that are similar, but more interesting).
If you have typed your rough draft, please highlight any edits in red, so that they are clear to see.
Now complete your final draft, remembering to take your time to ensure that you are including everything you have added/changed in the first draft. Remember this can be typed if you would prefer.
Submit your plan edited first draft, and final draft, together with the Reading and Grammar parts of your Assignment 9.
