Today's Lesson

Introduction

As per usual, begin the lesson by reviewing what you have covered in the previous lessons. Say to your student, now that you know what sentences are and that there are different types of sentences, we are going to learn or review how to write a paragraph.

Main Activity

Ask your student to explain to you what he or she knows about paragraphs. Explain that paragraphs are a collection of sentences that go together because they are about the same thing.

Please look at the Hamburger PowerPoint and go through each slide with your child. Take time to discuss each slide and answer any questions your student might have.

Spelling

Review spelling words to prepare for your test at the end of the week. You may wish to use Spelling Frame. Try the Spelling TilesandSorting Segments to listen to the parts of the word, then sort the words into the correct or incorrect box.
