Today's Lesson
Introduction
For this lesson, you are re-reading Harriet’s Hare. Ask your student if they can remember the story from yesterday. Before you read, ask your student to retell the story as they remember it from yesterday. Check for accuracy. Ask your student to read aloud, encouraging them to read with expression.
Main Activity
Complete the questions, this time in writing. Your student may need some significant support in answering written questions. Refer to the steps in Lesson 1, and show them how to write the answer down under the questions, until they are confident to have a go themselves.
Please remind your student to write in complete sentences that have been looked up in the text, where possible. Refer to the answers provided to guide you, as the teacher, in helping your student.
Continue to research the author selected yesterday and fill out more of the graphic organiser.
Spelling
Use the Spelling Frame Website to practise this week's spellings, which is Spelling Rule 1 on Spelling Frame. Choose Segment Cards and click on any words you are not learning this week, then Show Me. Allow your student to work through each of the words.
