Today's Lesson

Main Activity

Today tell your student should that they will complete the final copy of their instructional text. Before your student begins the final draft, look at the rubric together and discuss what they must do to earn the highest mark possible. You can also look at the sample instructions provided to see what a good one looks like.

Once the final copy is complete, score it using the rubric. To do this, simply mark or tick on the rubric your student gives themselves for each part of the instructional writing.

πŸ“„ COMPLETE - Instructions Rubric

Assignment

You will need to submit the instructions as part of Assignment 1. These instructions, written by your student this Step, should be submitted at the same time as the grammar task (Part A) and reading task (Part B) at the end of Step 4.

Don't forget to submit your completed rubric, too, as this is needed by your student's Wolsey Hall tutor to help assess your student's instructions.

All quizzes on this course are optional. They are designed to check your student's progress but it is not compulsory for your student to complete them.
