Main Activity

For the mental warm up, continue with some 10% questions, applying these answers to find 20%.

For example:

10% of 60 = 6

Therefore 20% of 60 is double the 10% answer, because we have doubled the percentage amount we want to find. So we need to times the answer of 6 by 2 (12).Β

Following on from the previous lesson, either copy the graph on page 74 of Abacus 4 Textbook 3, or allow your student to write directly in the textbook.

Ask your student to study the graph and then using the information, answer the questions on the page. Refer back to Line Graphs (MyMaths) if needed.
