Today's Lesson

Main Activity

New students should learn the 12 times table throughout the course of this week. Use some activities from 12 Timestable (MyMaths)Β

Call out some random tenth fractions, for example:

1/10, 4/10

Ask your student to tell you the amount as a decimal, for example:

0.1, 0.4

Turn to page 67 in Abacus 4 Textbook 1.

Run through the activities on Bar Charts (MyMaths) to understand how to interpret bar graphs.

Look at the graphs and ask your student to tell you what information they can obtain from each graph. Ask your student to write the answers to the questions about the graphs and also to complete the β€˜Think’ calculation.
