Today's Lesson

Main Activity

Ask your student to tell you the time. Then ask a few time-related questions. For example: What time was it an hour ago? What time will it be in 18 minutes? How many minutes until it is 4.15pm? and so on.

Turn to page 44 in Abacus 4 Textbook 2.

Remind your student of the chunking method used in the previous three lessons. Look back at Week 18, Lesson 3 or Division with Chunking (YouTube) if needed.

Ask your student to copy and complete the calculations on the page. Encourage your student to work independently.
