Today's Lesson

Main Activity

Send your student on a treasure hunt. For example, walk 5 steps forward, turn one right angle anticlockwise and walk 3 steps. Turn one right angle clockwise, take 1 step and so on. Send your student all around the room!

Turn to page 70 in Abacus 4 Textbook 2.

Ask your student to copy and complete the calculations on the page.

Then look at the investigation section and talk about this with your student. Ask how they intend to go about the calculations. Once you can see they are on the right track, allow your student to complete the page, working independently.
