Main Activity
Ask your student to complete page 91 in Abacus 4 Textbook 2 orally for the mental warn-up for this lesson.
Turn to pages 15 & 16 in Abacus 4 Textbook 3.
Scan or copy the pages, so that your student can write directly on the paper.
Talk about the scales shown on the number lines with your student, noticing what each division on the scales represents.
Run through activities 1-3 on Decimal Number lines (MyMaths)
Once you feel that they have shown an understanding, ask them to write the value of each tag beside the tag, using decimals.
Ask your student to complete the calculations for the second section on the paper, as well. Repeat this for both pages.
Play Number Bonds (Make 1) (TopMarks) to end the session.
