Turn to page 21 in Abacus 4 Textbook 2.
Ask your student to estimate how many different puzzles they think can be bought with £30, then to write the different prices down and work them out accurately.
What clues are they using to help with estimates?
How close was their estimate to the correct value?
What would be the change from £30 in each case (check using frog)?
