Main Activity

Ask your child to complete page 92 in Abacus 4 Textbook 2 orally for the mental warm-up for this lesson.

Turn to page 17 in Abacus 4 Textbook 3.

Scan or copy the page again, so that your child can write directly on the paper.

This video talks you through scales and intervals on number lines in preparation for the work on page 17.

Ask your student to write the value of each tag.

Look at questions 6-9. Your student should recognise that 45 + 55 = 100 so 0.45 + 0.55 = 1

Encourage your student to complete this page independently.
