As for the previous lesson, for mental warm ups, ask your student to count up and back in 5s and 10s from a number that is not a multiple of 10. For example: Count on in 5s from 9. Count back in 10s from 117.
Turn to page 74 in Abacus 4 Textbook 2.
Remind your student of their work in the previous lesson.
Ask your student to complete the calculations in exactly the same way for this lesson, working independently if possible.
Once complete, ask your student to tell you which calculation(s) they found hardest, explaining why.
