Turn to page 87 in Abacus 4 Textbook 1.

Remind your student of the process of division when you multiply by 10, as shown in the example. Ask your student to copy and complete the page as a warm up.

Turn to page 13 in Abacus 4 Textbook 2.

Look at the calculations on the page and ask your student to remind you how the method works.

Ask your student to copy and complete the subtraction calculations using the expanded column method as shown, regrouping where necessary. Use Expanded Subtraction Methods - recap (YouTube) to recap if needed.
