Main Activity

For the mental warm-up, turn to page 80 in Abacus 4 Textbook 2. Ask your student to complete the subtraction calculations using the counting up ‘Frog’ method.

Turn to page 4 in Abacus 4 Textbook 3.

Look at the instructions with your student. This topic has been tackled quite a few times previously, so should not pose too much of a problem for your child.

Use the 'Place value' video to recap using a place value chart to write numbers in digits if needed.

Encourage your student to work independently on both pages 4 and 5, copying and completing them on squared paper.
