Today's Lesson
Introduction
Show your student the three 📄 Word problems.
Read through each and agree whether we will need to add or subtract to find an answer.
Give your student some time to work out the answers on paper, before working through each question together.
Write the following on the board; then ask your student to write a short word problem (‘number story’) for each:
57p – 36p =
25p + 42p =
Main Activity
Ask your student to work independently or with some support to solve the problems in 📄 Real Life Problems.
The first 6 questions have 1 step, the final two questions have 2 steps.
Assignment
At the end of this lesson, please submit the video clip for **Assignment 11**to your Wolsey Hall tutor. (This was completed during Step 33 Lesson 3.)
