Introduction

Before you start the lesson, watch this Recap Video with your student.

Play the game that you played in the last lesson in the Extra Challenge part of Lesson 3. If you didn’t play that game, read through that part of Lesson 3 and play it today.

Main Activity

Access 📄 Time to the nearest 5 minutes sheet 2 today. Explain to your student that this is slightly harder than the task in the last lesson. Challenge them to compare the two sheets and work out why. (It is because in today’s task, there are more blank clocks that need to be completed).

Ask your student to complete correctly as many of the times as possible, using the teaching clock or interactive clock as needed.

Extra Challenge

Access Two Clocks and look at the problem together. Ask your student to look carefully at the clocks and decide what times they tell, even without the minute hand that is missing!
