Introduction
Before you start the lesson, watch this Recap Video with your student.
Main Activity
Recap on your student's skills and understanding of number pairs to 20 with some quick-fire questions. Challenge your student to see how quickly they can answer.
For example, 3 + 7 = 10, so 3 + __ = 20.
Work through the 📄 Problem solving tasks with your student and support them as necessary.
Ask your student, ‘How do you know…?’ and, ‘Can you tell me how you got your answer?’ as much as possible during the tasks.
