What to Get Ready
Cut out the cards from the Quarter Past Loop Challenge. You need to cut the cards horizontally, so each card has 2 clock faces on.
Introduction
Before you start the lesson, watch this Recap Video with your student.
Main Activity
Talk about the video together. If needed, go back and watch again, pausing to check your student’s understanding.
Spread the Quarter Past Look Cards out on the table.
Take some time looking at the cards with your student, looking at what the cards show.
Explain to your student that this is a loop game, a bit like dominoes.
Ask your student to choose a card. Ask them to read the writing on the left-hand side. Then read the question on the right-hand side. Can your student find the matching clock face on a different card? When they do, repeat the process with a new card.
Challenge your student to create a loop with the cards in the right order.
