Assignment
This lesson works towards Assignment 3. Please access the assignment for details about what you will need to submit to your student's Wolsey Hall tutor.
What to Get Ready
Look through the 📄 Double practise sheets and select those that are an appropriate challenge for your student.
Your student may just need to practise recalling doubles and halves today, in order to increase speed and accuracy, or they may be ready for more of a challenge.
Print out the 📄 Doubling and Halving word problems and Assignment 3 ready for your student to completed during theMain Activitypart of the lesson.
Introduction
Before you start the lesson, watch this Recap Video with your student.
Ask your student to complete the selected 📄 Double practise sheets, reminding them to use the strategies for doubling that they have learnt over the past couple of lessons.
Then show them the 📄 Doubling and Halving word problems
Please note: The Doubling and Halving word problems are to be completed as part of Assignment 3 only.
Ask them to work as independently as possible, only giving support when absolutely necessary.
It is acceptable to provide your student with any resources that have helped them over the recent lessons.
Main Activity
Ask your student to complete Assignment 3.Encourage them to continue to work independently.
Note: Once the assignment has been completed, please submit it to your student’s tutor. The video should last a maximum of 5 minutes.
