Today's Lesson

Assignment

During this lesson your student will complete your student’s story which will be submitted as Assignment 10. Please access the Assignment for details about what you will need to submit to your Wolsey Hall tutor.

Introduction

Together, reread your student's story they have written over the last few sessions.

Main Activity

Ask your student to look at their story map.

Ask:

  • Does your story follow your story map? Have you stuck to what you planned?
  • Have you included the story words you wanted to include?

Give your student time to finish their story if they need to.

Remind your student that their sentences need to start with a capital letter and end with a full stop. Give them time to edit their work to include these.

Upload this piece of work for Assignment 10.

What to Notice

10c.pngWhile they are doing this activity, remember to praise your student for the skills they are using.

For example:

‘Your editing skills are very good. You are looking carefully for missing full stops and capital letters. Keep it up!’
