Main Activity
During our last lesson we learnt about the five land use zones in a city. Can you remember what they were?
Read through the PowerPoint Where should Dave move to? with your child.
Print out the pages from the Card Sort PowerPoint, and ask your student to cut up the statements from the sheet so that they can then sort them into categories. Explain that they should use them to help them to decide which zone Dave should move to.
Then ask your student to write a paragraph explaining which zone they chose for Dave, and why.
Challenge Activity
Would your student have chosen a different zone if Dave was a wheelchair user? What about if he suffered from bad hay fever?
