Today's Lesson

Main Activity

First, watch the two short video clips on hurricanes and tornadoes with your student to introduce today's topic.

Then print off the Hurricanes and Tornadoes sheet and ask your student to categorise the facts. Is each fact about hurricanes or tornadoes? When they have completed this activity, ask your student to use their facts to write a paragraph on the main features of each hazard.
