Today's Lesson
Main Activity
Over the next two lessons your child will be completing a range of tasks in order to design a new settlement in Trafford.
Explain that they will need to follow all of the instructions carefully and that you can contact your Wolsey Hall tutor if you need advice. Some of the work on this project will be submitted to your tutor to form part of Assignment 8 – read through the assignment so that you are clear of what your student needs to do.
Print out and read through the whole Settlement Design Project together.
Your student will be completing the work next lesson, but today they should aim to: choose a site, plan a budget and make a rough draft of their settlement.
Challenge Activity
Your student could design an advert to go in the local paper promoting their new settlement.
