Today's Lesson

Assignment

During our last lesson, we learnt about hurricanes in general. Today your student will be completing an assessed piece of work comparing Hurricane Katrina and Typhoon Haiyan. Remember, β€˜typhoon’ is just a name for a hurricane that occurs in the North Pacific.

8a.pngRead the Comparing Katrina and Haiyan PowerPoint together, following the instructions on the screen. Explain to your student that they will need to use the PowerPoint and Worksheet to complete all the tasks required for Assignment 6.

For more information on how your student's work will be marked, don’t forget to look at the Mark Scheme.

If you have some time left you can complete the Self Assessment on how well you think you have done and how much you enjoyed this topic.Β  If you do, please send it to your Wolsey Hall tutor as we really enjoy getting feedback on what you have enjoyed as well as knowing what we can do to improve the course.
