Today's Lesson

Main Activity

2a.pngThe lesson is similar to the previous lessons on buzzers and motors. However, ask your child what they think will happen when the circuit is wired up in a different way. Change the order of the components. Does this have any effect on the speed of the motor, or brightness of the light? Then ask your child to investigate this to see if their predictions were correct.

Read page 140 of Cambridge Primary Science Book 4 and complete the ‘Think like a scientist’ activity on page 141. If you don’t have a cell holder, you can use tape to join cells together. Was this what you predicted would happen?

Answer the questions on page 142. You must be a circuit expert by now!
