Today's Lesson
Main Activity
Turn to page 51 and 52 in Cambridge Primary Science Book 4.
Read the text on these pages, look at the diagrams and discuss these with your child. See how particles of liquids move by having a go at the ‘Think like a scientist’ experiment.
If you have enough people, ask your child to conduct the activity on pages 52 and 53 to model particle movement in different states.
Then ask your child to answer the questions on lined paper and to read and understand the ‘How am I doing?’ section at the bottom of the page. If they have any difficulty understanding the concepts, discuss these further, perhaps accessing other online information to provide a breadth of input.
Watch the video 3 States of Matter to check their understanding of matter.
Finally, download the States of Matter game resource and follow the instructions to play the game.
