The world is home to billions of people, animals and plants. Humans affect the Earth both positively and negatively. Watch the video again and make a list of human activities that affect the environment. Can you think of some ways that you could protect your own environment (your home, your local area)? Create some reminder signs to put by the light switch to remind people to turn it off.

Discuss what natural disasters are and think of some examples. Natural disasters are not caused by humans, but they do affect the environment.
