"Be kind to yourself and to your kids. It might be overwhelming at first but it does get easier with time and you will enjoy it tremendously. When you feel your child is not progressing, take a look back at the first few lessons and you will be amazed. If you or your kids feel overwhelmed, contact your SPM and take a break. Even a few days makes a huge difference."

Assignments (audio clip):

In our Getting Ready for Year 1, Year 1 and 2 courses there is an assignment for your child to complete every three weeks. The assignments are completed during lesson time.

In our Year 3 to Year 6 courses there is an assignment to be completed every four weeks (in some subjects such as Art and Design and Computing, assignments will occur every six weeks). The assignment is sometimes completed inside of lesson time, but some assignments are completed outside of lesson time.

Please encourage your child to complete assignment work as independently as possible. This will allow their tutor to provide the most effective feedback.

The tutor will also provide feedback to you and your child through regular video calls throughout the course which will give you the opportunity to discuss your child's progress and any issues you might have.
